Stage 8- High-Impact Habits

Stage 8 - High-Impact Habits

The Threads of Control

Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones.”
–Benjamin Franklin

Your Habits

Like the strings on a puppet, your habits are the threads of control that determine your day-to-day decisions—and therefore the course of your life. You are where you are in your life today as a direct result of your habits, which make up nearly half of all your behaviours.

In other words, almost half of everything you think, say, and do is habitual, which means that nearly 50 percent of your actions are not conscious. Instead, they are a result of your own neurological programming that has taken place over decades of repetitive subconscious behaviour.

In Stage 8, we’ll work to bring these habits into full consciousness so you can analyse their impact on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Your habits are the product of consistent and committed behaviours over time—so to help you improve those behaviours, we’ll introduce you to six high-impact practices that increase physical health, mental focus, emotional equilibrium, and spiritual strength.

Some of your new habits may initially feel outside of your comfort zone. However, with consistent practice over the next 30–40 days, these new habits will become instinctive and you’ll find yourself moving forward with a new set of powerful and beneficial behaviours.

JOURNALING

A regular practice of writing down your thoughts and feelings is one of the most powerful ways to gain clarity about yourself and your life. In this element, you’ll learn three powerful journaling techniques.

MEDITATION

Regular meditation alters the pattern and frequency of our brainwaves, leading to increased mental clarity and acuity. Find out which type of meditation works best for your personality type.

MOVEMENT UNRESTRICTED

Motion creates emotion. In other words, how we move our body has a direct impact on how we feel. Learn how unrestricted movement can help you align more with your authentic self.

YOGA/STRETCH

Yoga is one of the best ways for you to develop strength on every level: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Learn about different types of yoga, and identify which type most complements your lifestyle.

AGELESS PLAY

Although we associate “playtime” with children, play is essential for adults to maintain social, emotional, and physical well-being. Learn about the types of play that keep you feeling youthful and connected.

PONDER TIME

The world’s most effective leaders spend a significant amount of time pondering. Instead of letting life carry you along, take a step back to consider how you want to design your existence.

Overview: HIGH-IMPACT HABITS

In this stage, our goal is to illuminate your existing subconscious habits and examine how they have formed the person that you are today. Through this work, you’ll discover how your habits impact the things you believe, the personality you portray to the world, and the results you get—both from yourself and your team.

We’ll then identify any negative habits you have that need to be replaced and work on cultivating six high-impact habits.
