YOUR VIBRATIONS

The human body might appear to be solid, but it’s not. The atoms that make up the physical structure of our bones, muscles, organs, and skin have no physical solidity whatsoever. We are, in fact, nothing but a mass of vibrating energy.

Centuries ago, Indian sages understood that we could affect the vibrations in our body through the practice of chanting. “Om chanting,” as it’s called, changes the vibrational frequency within our atoms, with astonishingly beneficial results for our well-being.

Om meditation impacts not only areas of our brain like the pre-frontal cortex, vagus nerve, and amygdala, but also our circulatory and respiratory systems. 

When we chant the word “Om,” we harmonise our internal energetic vibration and begin to radiate quiet, natural calm. Those around us instinctively pick up on our centred and quiet presence.

In addition to increasing our sense of connectedness, chanting has numerous health benefits: 

  1. Improves concentration. Regular chanting trains your mind to focus on one particular task. As you continue to practise chanting, you improve your ability to concentrate.

  1. Reduces stress and anxiety. By regulating the different energies in your mind with just one sound, you can dissipate stressful thoughts. The repetition of a single sound also relieves physical stress in the body.

  1. Promotes physical healing. Tension causes sickness and disease in both the mind and the body. Attuning your body’s vibration to a single frequency helps relax your muscles and mind, allowing the body to heal itself.

  1. Strengthens the spinal cord. The stresses and strains of daily life disrupt the structural integrity of your spinal column. By vibrating the entire structure at one natural frequency, you encourage the bones, discs, and nerves to gradually move back into their original positions.

  1. Detoxifies the body. Chanting improves circulation and helps with the efficient removal of toxins from your blood.

  1. Improves heart function and digestion. Because vibration improves circulation, chanting can also help reduce hypertension, increase oxygen flow, improve heart function, and ease the digestive process.

  1. Helps you sleep. Chanting before bed calms your entire body as well as your mind, allowing you to fall asleep more quickly and improving the restorative quality of your sleep.

  1. Clears emotional blocks. Chanting is a form of meditation that clears negative thoughts and soothes your body’s emotional responses.

  1. Improves cognitive function. After chanting, you will enjoy more clarity of thought as well as a more positive mindset—which are both essential ingredients for improved mental acuity.
